Alpha Sigma Tau

Members of Alpha Sigma Tau work hard to stay actively engaged in their academics and grow in areas they are interested in. We host study hours which gives people a space to do their homework, and the people in the room can keep one another accountable. AST also encourages its members to explore hobbies and passions because we believe in being involved in multiple things to keep your mind, body, and spirit engaged and learning.

AST encourages its members to be gracious, respectful, excellent, and have intellect and build connections. We hold our members to these standards so they can have a skill set to be responsible members of society. Our chapter members hold positions in and out of our sorority, which helps them stay actively engaged with the community and people around them.

We pride ourselves on being an open and loving community to all who enter. AST has many events throughout the year that our members look forward to as a time to come together and make connections. Fostering a community is important to all of our members, and we do that through our events and philanthropy.

Alpha Sigma Tau fundraises and supports Girls Inc., a Nashville program that inspires young girls to be strong, smart, and bold. We host events for Girls Inc. throughout the year, and our two biggest fundraising events are Taulloween and Mardi Tau, which are open to all of Belmont. Our members get involved with the Belmont and local community through service and volunteer work, which is an important aspect of our chapter.
